Cato's History Utility
I'm using Cato's History Utility for the first time...I hadn't been around the board in a while, then when I visited again I saw this and was interested.
6. For completeness, export all free agents. This step is optional as it can be time consuming, but it will affect team totals if skipped. If CSVReporter crashes while exporting all free agents, then you will need to export one position at a time. This is a memory problem with CSVReporter. Either way, once the free agents are in a file, or files, they need to be moved to the team they played for during the season. That is the part I'm having trouble with. How do I move the free agents onto a team? Do I have to have Microsoft Access 97? Or is there another way? This is confusing me, I've been "out of the loop" too long, you could say. Any help would be appreciated. |

The files created by CSVReporter are just text files. Each line contains a player's stats, separated by commas. A spreadsheet style program like Excel is easiest to use, but any text editor can also be used.
After moving the free agents to the correct teams, remember to delete the free agent file. If you named it something like FA_FA_2002, the program will think it is a team and try to import.
