Tony Galento add

Guys, especially Jersey Jim will enjoy this one.

He huffs, and he puffs, and he sells toupees, or in this case, really cheap rugs. Found this in a May, 1970 Boxing Illustrated.

Hmmm---Looks like an early effort to recycle unwanted items!
Things you can do with an old Davey Crockett coonskin cap.

I picked up a number of older magazines recently. I've only quickly looked though one, of three cartons. I've also been offered The Holy Grail, and have agreed to purchase a boxing program. Not just any old program but...

March 22, 1966 vintage 'The Ring Post' official program for the fight between Cleveland "Big Cat" Williams and Mel Turnbow. Both men pictured in fighting stance on the front, scorecard on page 3 of 4 pages. Undercard: Bobby Dennard vs. Charlie William, Jeff Davis vs. Rickey Harris, and Dave Burch vs. George Seals

I don't usually collect programs but this is a
MEL TURNBOW program.

I can't wait.

Mighty cool Don.

I wonder if Mel is even aware of his following. Hey Jim, can you see if he still lives near Petterson?

With wigs like that, who needs hair? Obviously, there was a conspiracy behind the sudden disappearance of these masterpieces off the market.
If Tony manages to finally win the Title in my universe over at the "Inside the Ropes" thread, I have no doubt they will sell as good (if not better) than the George Foreman grill!

If Tony were here right now, he'd probably say, "Geez, deez wigs is beauty-full!"
