Suggestion (or at least help) Roster manipulation
I the game when I have players on my 40 man roster or active roster and want to simply switch them around, it won't let me unless I release the players or put them on waivers. VERY unrealistic! Is there some way to do this without losing all my players simply because a roster is full and I want to try someone out at major league level?

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but if your 25 man active roster is full, you need to demote a player to the minors first before promoting someone else. You don't need to release someone or place them on waivers unless they are older and out of minor league option years.
If there is a younger player you want to exchange for another young player, just go to your transactions page and drag the player from the active roster to AAA and then drag the guy you want to move up to your active roster. You can also right click on a player then send them to minors or to the active roster from the minors. If your 40 man roster is full and you have a young player you want to move to the active roster that is not on the 40 man roster, then you'll have to remove someone from the 40 man roster to make room. If that is what you are describing, then yes, a player will have to be release or will need to clear waivers before you can move him to the minors. Last edited by Aytumious; 08-02-2008 at 11:55 AM. |
