Is there a list somewhere of the real Nippon minor league teams, city and team names?

That link probably does not help him at all. The Ni-Gun (Minor League) has 12 teams, most are named after there actual team. Here is a full list for you.
Hanshin= Hanshin Tigers (Western League) Yokohama= Shonan Searex (Eastern League) Hiroshima= Hiroshima Toyo Carp (Eastern League) Tokyo Yakult= Tokyo Yakult Swallows (Eastern League) Chunichi= Chunichi Dragons (Western League) Yomiuri= Yomiuri Giants (Western League) Hokkaido= Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters (Eastern League) Chiba= Chiba Lotte Marines (Eastern League) Fukuoka= Fukuoka Soft Bank Hawks (Western League) Tohoku= Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles (Eastern League) Saitama Seibu= Goodwill (Eastern League) Orix= Kobe Surpass (Western League) Hope this helps, if you have any questions just lmk. One quick change, the Seibu team has been renamed Seibu (because Goodwill was caught in a corruption scheme).
