making a college feeder to go with included roster set

I'm looking into creating a college feeder leasgue with accurate conferences and teams, with logos but not rosters. I wanted to know if any one would be interested in this and be willing to help. Let me know what you think.

You're mad .

But seriously, there are like 120+ teams, assuming you don't do anything below division 1 (divisions 2 and 3 would be cool to have, as separate leagues.).

I personally know very little about College Baseball, but would be interested if this ever gets finished.

I tried to work on one over the weekend - with everything true to life from the 08 season. There are 298 Division I teams. Every time I went in to edit the rosters the game crashed. It was not a pretty site. However, I have a folder with all 298 teams and the correct logos and colors.

I am working on this as well- mine is a 128 College team feeder based on 12 major college conferences as well as a 48 team HS feeder. I have everything set up and working nicely with PCM's and talent distribution for the draft. This is woring even beeter than last year- where using some of the game settings I can now all but eliminate MR's from the draft process. Almost all pitchers drafted will be closer's, starter's, or have starter potential- which is how it shoud be. I wasn't able to do that to my liking last year. All team colors and logos as well as many of the uniforms will be provided (and are the work of several board members here- not my own).

I am also working on brushing up the prospects and the general polish of the MLB roster set as well. This will hopefully be what last year's set was supposed to be without the premature aging issues I had. I am not going to include any international leagues at first- but may do so down the road if there is any interest. It's going to take a couple of weeks to compete- but I am pleased with the results so far.

Nomar,
How is your set coming along. I am really interested in something like this, I am just having such a hard time finding the time to set up a set like this and looking forward to one.

Also very interested i tried a quick feeder system with names but didn't get results that i liked. I was also trying an international feeder league, like carribean league where the players are eligible at 17 mainly because i don't know how to have the computer generate free agents from the main hotbed baseball countries

do you have this uploaded anyplace? I'm trying to set one up for Massachusetts highschools feeding New England Colleges... but I'm not sure how everything works, I'd love to be able to look at yours as a guideline if you didn't mind...

Actually, guys- I am getting close...Just didn't think anyone was interested so I haven't been posting in here. I was trying to get a hold of 8 Ball and see if he could provide me his college logos with the color codes. I have all the logos for all the Majors, minors and College in place- but am going through and setting the correct team colors and unis. I think about half of the college teams have real unis. I'd really like to get some fictional unis and logos for the HS feeder teams- but that's going to be time consuming, and I won't start that before the 1st release.

What I have been focusing on:

I have gone through the MLB set included with the game and updated/corrected most of each teams top prospects according the 2008 Baseball Prospectus. I also went through to ensure that almost every player is rated- though I know I may have missed a few. I have done minor editing on some MLB players- but I think Erich did a good job on these guys for the most part- but there were some obvious errors. This will also include real MLB contracts as provided by AirmenSmith's set.

I have edited market size and some of the financials to help keep the AI from doing peculiar things in the 2008 off-season due to large profit/loss. I am only going to keep those that didn't apparently break something else.

Feeder leagues: I am very pleased with these- after working with them extensively last year, things went a little quicker this year. As I mentioned in my earlier post- one neat thing is being able to manipualte the roster composition in the College and HS feeder's such that there are only 1 or 2 MR's per team- and very few available on draft day. For example, in the first year's draft- there were only a handful or so MR's on the board TOTAL. I hated in years past how it seemed a third of the top prospects were MR's. There won't be many at all in this set. So failed or infereior starters get converted to the pen in the minors- just like in real life. I am not sure if everyone is aware- but Markus has tied pitcher endurance to starter effectiveness in OOTP 2009- and I am trying to take advantage of that. This is much improved from last year.

Whats left:

I am tweaking league totals for the minors and college/hs just to try and make the statistical output as close to real life as possible....There is so much that's worth doing that I am not going to get to- like real ballparks for the feeder teams and things like that- but maybe if someone wants to tackle that- it would be a cool addition. I'd also like to integrate the Japanese leagues- I know someone is working on those. I look forward to playing with the Japanese PCM's to dovetail the talent realistically with MLB. I am going to stay away from the Cuban and other international leagues this year as it really bogs the game down a bit- but those that want to can certainly feel free to add them. It's a pretty easy process once you get the hang of it.

Finishing up the College Team's colors and unis...This is almost done- maybe an hour or two of work here at the most. Hopefully, at the least this will be helpful in setting up feeders and establishing league sizes and PCM's for the players.

I will shoot for this weekend...and one note- this will again be a pretty big download- similar to last year- because it will have everything included: uniforms, logos, correct team colors and League Logos.

Any help finishing up would be appreciated
