Historical League & Patch 2 Question

I want to start a historical league, but don't want to if the next patch, patch 2, will not effect a league that has already been started.

So, my question is, if I start a historical league now, will my league get the benefits of the patch, or would it be better to wait for the next patch before I start a new league?

I have the same thing in my mind, since my season will be over in a couple of days. I know that rule 5 draft problem is a problem with the second seasons if you don't draft and let the rookie goes to their original team. I know that Markus have fix it with the patch. But is it better to make a backup of my league the january first 1970 and wait for the patch? or I can continue with the 1970 season and the R5D eligibillity bug will be fix automaticly?

Patches normally take affect when installed, meaning any changes/updates/additions would take affect in your league.

In the case of patch #1, it was different due to what it corrected, the importing of older version leagues to correct L/R splits. You had to re-import your league to get the benefits.

So, it's pretty certain that an already running historical league will reap all benefits from the next patch? Just want to be sure on this.
