Player Morale
I know players can be pissed because they think they should be higher up in the organization, but can they be pissed because they think they should be lower in the organization? I just booted up a new game with the 2008 MLB roster set, and Kyle McClellan is angry because of team transactions, even though I've done nothing and he's on the ML roster. His expected role is bullpen, and admittedly, he's only slotted in as a mop-up reliever, but that's still the bullpen, and he's by far the worst member of the staff, ratings-wise (hence me wondering whether he's afraid of getting overmatched in the majors; too bad the Minor League System Report doesn't tell me about the players in the majors...). Also, I tried seeing whether sticking him in the closer's role would make a difference; it didn't, so I take it that it's not that he thinks mop-up duty is beneath him. Other than messing with that and making some unrelated roster moves (like getting Mark Mulder out of AA and onto the DL), I haven't done anything yet, so there's not really any transactions for him to be upset about. Can anyone shed some light on this?
