Manage Minors or No?

Another question for the community.

I finally created the dynasty that I've wanted. I took the real MLB strucutre and loaded it with fictional players and began the league in 1901. I added Minor Leagues when the number of players demanded it. I currently have a AAA, AA, A-Advanced, A, A-Short Season, and Rookie leagues, 95% of the minor league teams are affiliated with MLB clubs, some aren't to allow for even teamed leagues. My question is this:

Should I start a Managing career from the bottom and work my way up or should I pick an MLB team and stay with them for the next XXX years (obviously I would have the Cannot Get Fired box checked). Any and all thoughts welcome, thanks!

I have managed to manage the Class AA Yakima Yakamaniacs (also known as the Yaks) for the last 123 years and I haven't been disappointed yet, although I am ungodly old and have died 3 times and have reincarnated myself each time. It is a different experience than managing at the top of the food chain.

Make sure you don't use ghost players though, that is very boring.

Also you may need to change the default AB totals (upwards) in game setup every year or pitchers will dominate unjustly and hitters are lucky to hit over .200 with the default AB's. A league leading BA of .218 and ERA's in the zeros is sort of unreal. I find a 10% to 15% increase in the game setup Double-A AB totals usually does the trick. It varies every year so adjust as necessary. Other minor league levels need different adjustments, the lower the classification the higher the adjustment.

Skip the question. I need to manage your avatar. Time for a little bullpen session.
