Hiring Coaches results in multiple messages

I set up a simple historical MLB league, with three levels of minors, set in 1977. I took over the Pittsburgh Pirates, and I discovered that my A level team didn't have a manager. So, I promoted the hitting coach to manager and went and mad an offer to the best hitting coach I could find. He wanted 104K for 4 years, and I make an offer for 100K for 4 years. After I sim to the next day, I get 7 messages. 6 of them say that he's declining the offer. Howerver, the 7th message (actually the first message) says that he's accepting the offer.
When I look at the personnel screen, I see that the coach is actually working for my team....

Do you need the DAT files, or can I move on with the league?

This a known issue and I'm sure it will be addressed by a patch.
