SSBL has openings

Stars & Stripes Baseball League
SSBL
We are a fictional league in our 22nd season.
Salary cap of $95 MIL/cash cap of $20 MIL
30 Real MLB Teams
Using OOTP baseball 2007/OOTP 8

I updated the league info here to give a little more info about the league. We also have a utility suite on the site with player development reports, last sim results, and also use it for the first year player draft.

I've recently taken over full time simming/commish duties and am looking to get the league full, and raise the activity level overall. Phil Zuber has run the league since the beginning (for us, the 2003 season) and has done an excellent job. We've just switched over to a new site/forum format, and we would love to see some new faces come in soon.

There's an application link on the site. Feel free to drop by and check us out.

Diamondbacks have been filled. This leaves just the NL West division leading Rockies to fill.

The Red Sox are once again open. A team that needs a little TLC, but does have the 12th best farm sytem overall with prospects Raul Lopez, Jason Thomas, and Albert Gonzalez waiting for their chance to strut their stuff at the ML level.

League is full again. There is a possibility of the Marlins coming open within the week, and I would also like to build a little bit of a waiting list for potential owners. See site for application.

I was just informed that the Colorado Rockies are once again open. The team just won 99 games this season, topping the NL West, but were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round. Now is a great time to take over as we are in the midst of the post-season and heading into the 2025 season within the next week.

Our GM for the Twins has stepped down, so the team is in desperate need of someone to take over. Someone who is commited to sticking with it could probably get this team going in the right direction in a few seasons, but the going will be tough.

It is highly likely that we will have 1 or 2 more vacant teams by Tuesday, the Devil Rays (no, we haven't updated the name), who are currently on top of the AL East, and possibly the Marlins, who are in 4th in the NL East, but just a game below .500, and only about 6 games out in the Wild Card race.

Visit the site and fill out an application if you're interested. I'm preparing for a weekend camping trip this week, but will reply to all inquiries as quickly as I can. Hopefully the Twins can at least be spoken for before I leave on the 8th.

Both the Minnesota and Tampa Bay teams remain open at this time. The Twins are definitely in need of some dedication and patience as they are tied for last in the AL Central currently (48-64) and don't have much of a minor league system to speak of (#27 overall). The Devil Rays, however, are 15.5 games ahead in the AL East and are most likely playoff bound with around 2 months left in the season. They fare much better with their farm system as well, ranked 10th overall. Not a whole lot of work to do in Tampa as compared to Minnesota.

Feel free to visit the site and team pages linked above, and submit an application if interested.

Thanks.

Someone has taken over in Minnesota, but now there is an opening in Baltimore, as well as the previously mentioned Tampa Bay franchise. We will moving over to OOTP 9 very soon to take advantage of some of the inhancements, but for the time being, we're still simming with OOTP 8/2007. Please visit the site and take a look around. Our next season will be #24 (the year 2026) and we will be building to an exciting (hopefully) 25th anniversary celebration in 2027.
