Ballpark Pics
I'm trying to change some of my parks. I have downloaded some park photos but I can't load them. They are PNG files and it seems the game only takes jpeg's any help?

Go to IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide and download that and then you can batch convert all the files real quick.

Forget the batch conversion. Go to PadreFan's OOTP Mod Site. Go to ballparks and download any of the ballpark image packs. Unzip them into your ballparks folder in My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data\ballparks. The images are all JPEGs.
Within the game, you'll then be able to load the image that you want. Go to each team's main page, then click ballpark and other options. Select the option to edit the ballpark on the bottom of the screen. Then assign the correct location for the image you want to use for day and night games. Make sure to hit ENTER after you select EACH location for each situation. |

I rather not forget it if possible. I have a bunch of parks that are either gif files or png files. I would really like to try and convert them. How can I do this.

I use an ancient version of Paint Shop Pro and that's pretty easy doing this job; with IrfanView, it appears you do have to know a bit more about "photoshopping," though, based on what I see in those links. BUT, sometimes if you ignore options that you don't know about or leave them at default, everything works out fine. Last edited by 1998 Yankees; 05-31-2008 at 11:23 AM. |
