2008 game manual

I reinstalled 2008 today. I got to April 6 and while trying to figure out how to call up a minor league player to fill in for someone who just went on the 2 week DL the game crashed. Is there a way to save where you are at from time to time manually? When I went back in to work on the minor league player call up nothing had been saved. It went all the way back to Jan 1. ??? I have an XP...a rather powerful machine and had no problems like this when I first installed the game when it first came out.

ALSO...I went to look in the manual to study about making call ups and there is no manual. I came to the website and when I click on the manuals area it says the website isn't available.

Any help on saving your work manually and getting a copy of the manual for the game would be appreciated. Or do I need to reinstall my 2007 version in order to get a manual?

Thanks for the time and help. Just trying to get back into the game a little before I get my copy of version 9 that has been preordered.

Ok. Sorry I finally found the manual dl in the general discussion and I would assume it has info on manually saving your work from time to time.
So disregard my thread.
