Well that's not shipping with the game.

I was also hoping to see an "out of the box" MLB quick season setting without having to download and install rosters, pictures, ballparks...

That's not possible. While player names and stats are fair game according to the courts, stadiums, team names, logos, etc, are all very much protected items.

Short version:

1) Yes.
2) No.


Some stuff does not work. Some stuff works but not to the spec. Some stuff does not exist. Some stuff is really cool, but some stuff is awful.

That's awful non-specific.

When they have something to say, or want testers to comment, then there will be a large amount of comment, on an array of topics.

This much is true. I'd check back every one or two days.

Hmmm...Ok. Not too sure whether I should be excited or not- but I do appreciate the update.

Just so I understand: The plan is still for rosters to ship with the game....Is that correct?

I'm still working with the appropriate modders to see if I can get an "OOTB" experience.

I remain convinced that someone will take me up on my offer for a copy of the game, in exchange for a my idea of an OOTB experience.

Will check back soon.

Do undertand that beta team members have signed non-disclosure agreements, so we'd all be exposed to legal liability for divulging any info about the upcoming game- only a few people can do that (and personally I'd rather they spend their time coding and testing!). I'm sure all the info you want will hit the forums in due course.

He had an OBP of .480 last year.

In OOTP, I would sign him as a DH in a heartbeat. IRL, ummm....not so much.
