Kind of confused

I just started playing around with custom jerseys and I'm rather confuse. Here's what I did:
1. Downloaded a jersey set.
2. Unzipped the jerseys into the ...My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 8\data\jerseys folder
3. Go into the game and in the Team Colors, Logos and Uniforms section I select "Load" and then find whatever jersey. I do this because no matter what I seem to do, I can't get that dropdown to work. It always says, "Uses custom jersey".

With this, no matter what I do, the uniform uses that bright green color and I can't change it. Is there a step-by-step guide anywhere on how to use custom jerseys?

Thanks.

I think you're missing a very important step. What you have done is load a set of templates into your Jersey folder. This is a rather messy idea. I suggest that you relocate them into a subfolder called something like Jersey Templates. These are templates, not uniforms.

Then load one of the templates into whatever paint program you are using and color it any way you want. Then save it back into your Jersey folder (as a .png file) under the name of the team (i.e., Yankees_Jersey).

Then, when you load the uniform into OOTP, it will come in the way you saved it. None of the color settings in OOTP apply to the colors in a custom jersey - they are for people using the non-custom jersey settings.

Like you, I started using the default colors & non-custom templates included with the program. What I did was copy the color hex codes from the top of the screen into my paint program (Paint.net) and redraw the new uniform with the old colors. Hope this helps.
