Yet Another Question about Wallman's Utility
I have done a search and found nothing that helps my problems, so forgive my having to ask:
How do I go about parsing my postseason box scores? I don't have an option in the program to do that. The readme file says absolutely nothing about postseason box scores, so I couldn't get any help there. In a search, I read a run through of the process, but it seemed as though there is an option to parse the postseason boxes, which I can't seem to get. I downloaded the one that I thought was the most recent executable. Do I have an older version? I love the utility and want to get all I can out of it. Thanks for any help.

I just so happened to run Wallmans utility this morning..... and had the same problem. (not being able to parse the post season box scores) The DOS screen said something about not being able to detect mouse click or something.

This might help. I just downloaded the utility a few days ago and found this thread. It helped me out a lot.

I've never even tried that feature! Will have to give it a whirl (drag out the already tedious 90+ minutes processing time...)
The one thing that bugs me is the awards option doesn't work. Wish it generated that. That would make my day... |

I thought I was having problems with the postseason data not showing up. But in reality, the postseason stats show up on the player pages, not the team pages (as I thought). |

So that leaves Wallman to what? In his next update (coming August 2004), he should work on awards, postseason, expansion and bringing back the allstars? Is this all?

The problem I am having is that I don't have an option under the actions menu about parsing postseason box scores. Anybody have an idea as to why? I have downloaded the versions from the links all over (as well as the one from Wallman's post about the new patch) but it doesn't give me the option. Please help?

Are you sure you have the most recent patch of Wallmans installed, and that is what you are running? I had a similar issue, until I realized I was running the old version, and that the new one was installed to a new directory.
And to Wallman: Don't think that just because there is a bit of complaining about your utility, that it isn't appreciated. Thanks very much for your work on it. |

Just wanted to second the previous post. REALLY appreciate the work. (Wish it wasn't in Java though. Nice fast assembler would be nice
) I love the program so much that it broke my heart when I discovered it AFTER I'd deleted the output for my first 6 seasons of my fictional league ![]() BTW, wonder if there's any chance of Wallman releasing the source code? It's just I'm currently studying Java for university and it's be an interesting read. |
