I kind of like the way the setup is now. Living in Detroit, going to the Lions game every year is Tradition. Also, seeing as though I am a Jets fan and both teams are NFC teams, it means that the chances that my Jets would have to play on the road on 3 days rest is very slim.

Pats have played on Thanksgiving 2 out of the last 3 years so it's possible

It would be better if they got off this tradition thing in this case and schedule a game they might think be important to the playoff race or a rematch type game.
