Game Freeze

Have not seemed to be able to find this problem anywhere here, so going to try to post on a separate topic.

My system is a home built AMD 64 x2 4800
2 gb ram
Windows Vista 32 operating system

Game: OOTP 2007 version 2.0.3.68

The problem I am having is when I either load a saved game or update one of my leagues via the "load online league file" option, or when I close the game, runs fine until I get to "saving messages" and it sticks at 73%, everytime all the time. Will get the "Not Responding" message on my window. It will stay this way for over 5 minutes before it continues to perform normally. I have disabled the facegen and it still does it. I am not sure if it's something I am doing incorrectly or something else. Thanks in advance for any help or opinions I can get.

a lot of people have had the freezing at a certain point of saving. Usually it is due to a virus protection.

Wow, for that long, amazing...hate to disable it while running OOTP though *laughs*

I am not sure if that is the problem, I know that people have had that problem.
It does stick for quite a while though.

I have mcafee and it's on both computers, when I used another virus protection, no problem...I think you have it right

I am hoping...too bad anti-virus is such an important thing.
