Chilton Cup Seeding Poll

As I sim through 1885 I have kind of stumbled into a quandry regarding how to seed the Defending Chilton Cup Champion. My original plan was to give the Cup holder an automatic #1 seed, as kind of a perk for winning the year before.

However, at this point I have two cup champions who have lost and I am now debating on whether to seed the Chilton Cup winner the same as the regional Champions, who will automatically make the tournament each year, but will get the lowest seed possible if they are ranked outside of the top 16.

I go back and forth, so I will let the board decide....

I believe the Chamion should always get the number one seeding or why have a Champion.

Looks pretty dominating at this point. As I think about this it could really produce some interesting 1 V 16 scenarios.
