Help With A Historical Fictional League...
Don't mean to spam up the forums but I figured I should have probably posted this here instead of general discussion, if anybody can help it would be great.
Basically my problem is that I want to create a fictional league with real players. I can start out by creating an historical league and then just scheduling an inaugural draft then deleting all the other teams and creating new ones. However, now the only way I can seem to get the new players in year after year is through the amateur draft. My question at this point is: is there anyway to import the historical rookies straight into the free agent pool instead of through a draft? Here's the link to the thread V V V http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...l-players.html |

Ive never done this so Im just making a guess. If you turn off the amatuer draft, players are supposed to go to their correct teams. However, since the teams are now fictional, and there is no "correct" team for them to go to (assuming your new teams dont have the same abbreviations as the real teams), wouldnt the new players get dumped into free agency ? Have you tried that ? If so, what happened with the players ?

Nothing seems to happen. The players just never show up without an amateur draft.
I guess I'll just have a draft. |

If they do show up with an ammy draft, how about setting a 1 round ammy draft? After that round, the rest of the players should get dumped to the FA list
