OOTP6.5: CIBL has an opening or two

The Classic Internet Baseball League opened its doors for the 1980 season many years ago. Today, we enter the postseason of 1998.

The New York Mets and the Chicago Cubs are both looking for a good owner.

I was the Cubs' owner, but I no longer have the time and energy to run the team properly, so I had to resign.

The Cubs are in a very tough division, and were only 78-84 last year, but the team has some potential. It's a very young club, yet it has one of the league's premier pitchers (30 years old, 110-48 career record) and a great young slugger who hit 50 homers in 1998. The next GM could really make something of this team.

The CIBL is a solid, active league, dependably run, and great fun for devotees of recent MLB history. You might want to give it a shot.
