YOU WILL BE INFECTED - PLAGUE!!! Fictional Player Signup Thread

Welcome to the official signup thread for P L A G U E !!!!! .

Note - You will be required to do some MATH

I'm using a modified point-buying method similar to my previous create-a-player dynasties. Each player starts with a set amount of "dollars", with which to buy various attributes, according to the following charts
Code:
 Batters - $450 Pitchers - $350

Talents (1-90): Cost $1 per point

Batters: Contact/Gap/Power/Eye/Avoid K
- No Talent may be above 90
- No Talent may be below 20
- If a Talent is below 30, the next highest must be at least 20 points higher
- Total Points Allocated to Talents may not exceed 350
  nor be less than 250

Pitchers: Stuff/Control/Movement
- No Talent may be above 90
- No Talent may be below 40
- Total Points Allocated to Talents may not exceed 225
  nor be less than 150

Pitcher Endurance (1-20): Cost $2 per point
Hold Baserunners (1-5): Cost $2 per point
Groundball %: Generated by AI
Velocity: Generated by AI

Speed/Stealing/Instincts (1-20): Cost $2 per point
- Total Points Allocated may not exceed 45 ($100)
nor be less than 15 ($10). Only one of the three may exceed 15.

Sac Bunt/Bunt for Hit (1-5): Cost $1 per point

Hitter Type (Spray/Normal/Pull): Your Choice

Injury Rating
Prone - $0 Normal - $25 Durable - $40

Defense (1-20): $2 per point
- Max Points per position = 16
- Allowed up to 4 different positions (unless a pitcher)
- Fielding % is generated by the AI

Arm (1-20): Cost $1 per point
- No limit. IF/OF/C are distinct

Character:
Loyalty - Your Choice
Need Winning Team - Your Choice
Leader Ability - None $0/Some $1/Great $3
Clutch Performance - Suffers $0/Normal $2/Great $5
Consistency - Very Inconsistent $0/Average $2/Good $5
Starting Ratings - Unlike my previous dynasties where your starting ratings would be generated by the AI, here they will be a percentage of your Talents. The minimum starting ratings are 20% of your talents. You may spend $1 for every 2 points you want to increase your starting % above 20%, but you may never have initial ratings above 80% of your talents. Your age will determine the maximum initial rating percentage as listed in the chart below.
Code:
AGE MAX %

17	30
18	40
19	50
20	56
21	60
22	66
23	70
24	80
Example - Your talents: 80/60/50/70/50. You decide to start your player at 22. Your maximum % at 22 is 66% which would result in starting ratings of 53/40/33/46/33 (66% of the above talents rounded up). To start at 66%, you need to spend $23 (20% + 23 X $2 = 66%). However, you only have $15 left over, so you decide to start at 50% of talents, which results in 40/30/25/35/25

A few other things of note:
  1. Initially you may sign up 3 different players for 3 different debut years. Please spread them out...at least 10 years between each player.
  2. I would also prefer that your first player debut within the first decade, or the earliest year possible after 1901-10 has been filled
  3. The players do not have to be ancestors. You may give them fictional names of your own, or base them on actual players who never made it to the bigs (Oscar Charleston, Josh Gibson, Joe Baumann, Sadaharu Oh), remember, some of the Negro Leaguers will already be included in the draft pools, and more than likely, their talents would be better than ones you can create here
  4. No stupid names, please...such as Dick Hurtz, Joey Bag-O-Donuts, etc....

Also, Pete, if I can request it, can David be put on Brooklyn?

Eck, why would you want to put 60 points into a player's power if he's going to be almost entirely in the dead ball era?

I don't want to set a precedent of requesting teams, but if he's still on the board when Brooklyn picks, I'll make sure they pick him. If he goes higher, he goes higher. Is that an okay compromise?

Sounds great. When do you expect to start a-simmin'?

Bobby Stine will have to debut in 1905, and Mo Jenks will debut in 1907 since we only can have 1 fictional player per season. If I don't hear otherwise, I'll edit their birthdates accordingly.
