WinShare?

I don't play online games, so I have no idea what a Winshare is.

Any help?

A relatively new statistical measure conceived by Bill James. It distills offensive and defensive stats (including pitching) into one number that is supposed to be an ultimate rating of a player's contribution.

It's all in his book "Win Shares" and he uses the rating in the new baseball abstract.
