I created a 1988 historical league. Reset all the players to a drafting pool and restructured the league into a custom configuration. Everything seemed to be working fine until I went to the schedule and notice the buttons for play and sim were not available. I had used a schedule generator program from (Lantric I think) so I had OOTP3 create it's own schedule but that did not fix the problem. I can sim from the sim bar at the top as normal but my individual options are gone. Any ideas why this happened?

Do you have starting pitchers listed for each team on the schedule page? If not, you need to go into League Setup and run the Computer Manager. The players may have been assigned to teams but no lineups or pitching rotations were made yet. If this is not the case, then I'm not sure what else may be wrong.

Go into league setup and change all teams to computer owned then if you are having a human owned team go to that team and change it to human owned and see if that doesn't fix the problem. How much free space do you have on your machine?

i have the same problem in the 4th season of my custom league now
I went back and changed all teams to computer owned but that still didn't solve the problem. I have 5 gigs left on my computer. |

You say that you "can" and have simmed games using the above drop down menu?

I have the league on 2 different copmuters and they effect is the same. Quite a few gigs on both so space is not a problem. This is the first time that I have ever seen this and I've been playing OOTP since OOTP2. I can sim from the dropdown menu and after the day is done I can look at box and logs for that game. Everything works the way it is suppose to except for the buttons on the schedule for play and sim, they are completly absent.

Well I just had time to mess around with the league setup page. I toggled all the settings, career and replay, financials, etc back and forth and ran computer manager and it seemed to fix it. Not sure which of the changes did it but I guess the league was confused on what settings it was suppose to be using.

Why not try setting up the historic league again from scratch without using the outside scedule generator? EDIT: Heh, never mind, I see you fixed it - phew! Exactly, I sure could not figure out why it would happen. Especially after all the games I've played I thought for sure I'd have seen it.
Glad U R back in business again.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Nothing better in gaming then the support from OOTP fourms.
