Contract screen

I am thinking of re-signing Randy Flores for next season but it says in the contract screen that his contract expires in 2008 but in parentheses it says (new contract through arbitration)

Does that mean he will be given a new contract for NEXT year through arbitration? What are the rules behind arbitration...after a certain amount of Major League service time, they can become free agents?

Any help would be great!

He will recive a new contract through arbitration for 2009. The rules behind arbitation are that a player who has more than X number of years (auto resign -- league min) but less than Y years (free agent) go to an arbitor who gives them a "Market Value" contract. X and Y are both custimizable in the league set up section (MLB and the defualt is 3 and 6).
