Trading Deadline- Game freeze issue

I was simming through the end of a day (July 30) after
indiviudally having simmed a couple of games. Since this is end
of july, the game has me wait for deadline trades; during these
deadline trades however, the game froze; it simply will not work.
as a result, I had to ctrl-alt-del my way out. As it happend, all the
games on the day are complete, and one trade is listed
as happening on 7/31/06. However; it still seems to think
the day is the 30th, since all the deadline deals did not go through. So when I try and sim the day; it goes to deadline deals
and then freezes again.
My reading of this problem is that the finished games tell the
program that it is the 31st, but the incomplete deadline deals
tell it otherwise. I wonder if there is some way to change the
date so that it recognizes today as the 31st, rather than the 30th.

Win 98 SE, P3 500, 256 Ram.

Not that this helps. But I've had it freeze and then come back to life. It does show up as not responding but it pulls through.

THe game is not frozen at this point(no matter what "windows" tells you), but it is processing trades, trade offers, team needs, etc and this takes awhile. Especially if you have a slower PC or a lesser amount of RAM. When it gets to this point, take a break, go do somethingelse and then come back and you'll see that it has moved on.
