Milwaukee Blue Ribbons

This was a request to resemble the Pabst Blue Ribbon logo. I came up with 2 things here, but I can tell I need to clean or change them up a little. The border doesn't look clean, in the first one and I think I need some kind of border line, to bring it all together, around the second one.

Very nice Truth!

The only way I could get the edges smooth was to redraw the whole thing as a vector. Just add your other images to it and you're good to go.

Thanks....that's just what it needs....a clean line. Which vector program are you using? I am thinking cs2 is definitely not the only way to go with some of this stuff.

**edit**

Maybe I am wrong and there is a vector side of photoshop with the pen tools. I am checking. I am pretty sure I am doing it wrong to accomplish what I need to make the diamond just like you did. But I still would like to know which vector program you are using.

I'm using Xara Xtreme.

I still need to use the Gimp for image editing, but Xtreme does everything else.

To show you some of what it can do, here's what I turned that field into...

Excellent, thanks justafan. 79 bucks seems like a decent price for a pay software. Just starting to read up on what I can do, it's apparent I have to do something different than what I did on those 2 logos above.
