This is awful. No class. It is one thing to have pride in a team but these idiots made themselves and the Phoenix area look like fools. Scott I thought about emailing him to voice my displeasure but figured he might like the attention so do you have the station Managers email or better yet do you know the stations sponsors.

I want to call a friend of mine at the FCC, see if he can find out if anything is being done/looked into. This guy should get tossed and if the station is too gutless to do it, maybe someone else can take care of it instead (my contact is press, has no pull whatsoever).

Wow, that will really make you livid...absolute trash, absolute pure lack of class, utterly deserving of not only losing his job, but deserving of getting "blacklisted" in the industry. I strongly suspect 'shock-jocks' of this nature are used to floating from job to job...but this guy doesn't deserve any second chances.

What is really sad is that they aren't going to discipline him...I'd fire his *** without blinking (and I'm a notorious softie).

My "favorite" part of their poor apology is the line “We are truly amazed over how this has turned into a media circus.”

To me that says, "We will apologize because it seems like that's what you want us to do but we think it's silly that we have to."

The Diamondbacks had nothing to do with this. Root for St Louis or against the D-Backs, but don't base your decision on this. I would bet the players are the most embarrassed of everyone involved. This is a class act team.

I was at the game. I came home and posted a couple of things here in another thread afterward, then saw the KUPD story on the local news' webpage. I sent three emails. One to the perp, one to the program director, and a third to one of the perp's morning crew buddies. I am 99% certain the last guy used to work for the D-Backs as a mascot.

I cannot tell you how embarrassed, angry and disgusted the incident made me feel. That is something you can judge the rest of Phoenix on, not the actions of a young radio personality hungry the exposure that pushing the envelope brings.

Absolutely, he crossed a line. Crossed a line that anyone should know not to cross. This is still somewhat of a cowboy town. I doubt it would take too much more than this to see Tony LaRussa's advice taken.

"Whoever is responsible should suffer serious and dire consequences," said Cardinals manager Tony La Russa. "If we could get our hands on him ... I mean, that is so brutal, that something really significant should happen to him."

The radio station's flippant reply and then begrudged apology made the situation worse. Again, it is not the view of the people of the city. This is a radio show. They want exposure, they want controversy, they want free publicity.

Congrats, KUPD, you got your wish.
