Strange sub in the playoffs

I'm playing (actually watching) a first round playoff game in my fictional CBL. Las Vegas versus Yukon. The computer pinch hits for Yukon's starting catcher with a right fielder. This right fielder hit about 50 points lower in the regular season, but nevermind that, there's a bigger problem. When Yukon takes the field the right fielder (who is only rated in right) is catching. There is another catcher on the bench. The right fielder catches the rest of the game. He has two passed balls, one of which allows a run to score. The game ended up 8-1, so it wasn't the deciding factor, but still... When's the last time you saw Raul Mondesi catch the last four or five innings of a playoff game when the Yanks still had a real catcher sitting on the bench?

This also happened to me once in a playoff game, except that I believe the first catcher was injured, and was replaced with a non-catcher while the backup sat on the bench. At least 3 PB in 1 inning. I can see the AI being reluctant to PH for their catcher, but once they're out, the 2nd catcher should always come in; no playing out-of-position players until all other options are out.

happened in the WS in New World this year. Starting C injured in 2nd inning, replaced with an OF (best rated hitter on bench) for rest of game. Backup C then played remaining games of series
