We don't like you, Yankees! Go home and break out the golf clubs! It's over!

You're from New York, so of course you're going to say that.

The Yankees lost, deal with it. It's too bad you have too be bitter about it.

[By the way there were 5 threads for Bobby Valentine getting fired - that's excessive]

What i said in no way indicated bitterness at all. Your assumptions are unfounded and ignorant. True, I'm from NY. Yes, I would consider myself a Yankee fan. However, I am more of a baseball fan than I am of any particular team. Endless bickering about this team and that team is ridiculous. If someone wants to live vicariously through a sports team, then that is fine and dandy, but don't throw me into the same pool. I only comment because people are being insensitive to the fact that people may actually be upset about the Yankees losing. I'm sure Yankee fans may have bragged on this board repeatedly in the past, but following suit in the way you have is just condescending.

And I'm supposed to feel sorry for these people, seeing as the Yankees win the World Series almost every year? It's about time someone else gets a chance. I really feel sorry that their payroll is only $150 million payroll too ...

If memory serves me, the Yankees didn't win the WS last year................

The simple fact that 90% of you guys hate the Yanks and put up all these threads when they lose shows that they ARE doing something right or you wouldn't hate them so much.

I understand, man. The Mets had a high payroll but didn't finished last. You can't just blame the spending habits. I wish they would spend less, I really do. I'm not really too upset that they lost, as my loyalty has been fading since Mattingly retired. I'm fully supporting the Angels in their pursuits, and the Twins just because it would be nice if they could light a fire under Selig's ass.

Now all that needs to happen is for the A's to go to the World Series so Giambi feels like a total moron.
