It's me again(with a question)

I apologize.......

I went to download the 1991 season.I followed the instructions.I typed in the address(I didn't call the file c:/stats but it worked fine anyway) correctly and it started to enter the players but suddenly it just shut off and returned to my start page.

Any answers would be helpful.

Did you download the latest update for the game as I suggested?

first, to install the update, just unzip the file into your OOTP directory. (say YES to overwrite file question)

2nd, I would suggest either using Ankit or ScottVib's revised versions of Lahman DB version 4. Not sure where these can be downloaded but they shouldn't be hard to find.

To get rid of the leagues, just go into your OOTP folder and delete the .lg folder of whatever league you want to dispose of. However, I believe you can cause problems if you delete the league that OOTP last was open to. (the last league you were using before closing OOTP). So to be safe, just open OOTP selecta league you won't be deleting, close OOTP, delete the folders, and you're ready to go.

hmm I often delete the league that OOTP had open last without problems... It just fires up another league instead when I re-open the program.

That doesn't mean a problem couldn't happen though and maybe I have just been lucky.

NEVER seen that happen. In my experience, if you delete the league last opened, when you try to open up OOTP, it will crash out until you restore that league from the recycle bin.

Same here. It will usually load the default career 2002 league.

Same here, but I think it's because I don't have the default 2002 league.

Yeah, I think that is how Markus dealt with that OOTP3 era crash problem. The fix is not usefull if you clear out some of the originally installed files though (like the default 2002 league).

If you have deleted the career2002.lg and have this problem I believe you can just rename an existing league folder in your game Career2002.lg and then when you open the game that league will appear.

I have not tried to do this with OOTP4 but I know it worked with OOTP3.
