Player of the Week Quirk

LOL read this (player of the week in ootp4)

Hudson wins Player of the Week award

Pitcher Time Hudson had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the American League Player of the Week. Tim went 0-2 with an ERA of 5.59, while fanning 6 in 9.2 innings of work. In 21 starts this year Tim struck out 104 batters in 145 innings of work. His ERA is 3.72, his record 8-10. He has 3 complete games and 2 shutouts. Second basemen Homer Bush had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the American League Player of the Week. He had an on base percentage of .125 and hit .125, while driving in 0 runs.

Ok I never saw any quirkiness of the POW until this. First of all two American League player of the week awards? It should be American and National, the previous POW was normal naming the American and National. I don't think I need to explain why its weird giving players that didn't do well an award. LOL

Strange, I've seen the award "named" to the same league before but it is normally just an error and the team and player are actually from the other league in the article. But I have not seen it given for such poor performance.

Why is it Time in one place and Tim the other?
