Game Crashing

I was having problems with corrupted files so I started a new season with backup files that were good and auto played until end of July. I backup files repeatedly. Then when I started to trade players and make some moves and went to back up the files I get exception fault error as game closed and fwhen I reloaded game the files were corrupted and players are on the roster from teams all over the league.

I've been dealing with this problem for a while trying to correct it with my backup files but I'm at the place that it seems useless to keep playing the game unless I can find a solution.

Is it possible I could have a bad copy of 2007? I'm running the latest patch but it seems I run into these exception errors half way through any season.

Thanks for any suggestions you can give me.

game crashing

I found my problem discussed in the logged issues section on page three under "game crashing when saving". This discussion took place during April and May and seems to be a known issue. Has anything been learned since that might help me. IF I start the season and just sim the games I can keep going but I've I make any roster changes or play the game it will crash. I don't use the face gen but I download pictures from the MLB site.

I've read enough to understand why your replies are slow so I will wait to hear from you.

Crashing

I changed some of my settings and so far this time (fingers crossed) I've not yet had any crashes. I went to full screen mode instead of windowed and I changed how to view auto played games as they sim to text only. It may be only a mater of time before I get the dreaded crash but if this continues to work perhaps sharing this will help someone else. I still hope to hear comments from tech support. Thanks

I've pretty much given up playing this game.....you may find the same soon. I have started no less than 5 different leagues. I play out all my games, and get really into the players and the league. All five leagues have crashed and I can no longer play....

Its not worth the effort...

Best of luck to you.

crash

I hear you! I hold my breath every time I backup or quit the game. As the bar stops at message, and saving faces etc. and pauses indifinitely I keep thinking this is it. It's a great and addictive game with great potential but you're right these bugs are really testing a lot of faithful users. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for your added voice. I figure if enough of us cry long and loud enough, we might get heard. This OOTP franchise has been great. I have bought every version since 4, but find it really hard to play knowing that the next game may be the last....and I'll have to start over again.

Geffprice, could you please FTP us a copy of the .dat files from one of your corrupted leagues and let us know what the file name is per the instructions in the link below? Thanks.

As we haven't heard back on this one in nearly a week, it will be closed for housekeeping reasons. If you need any further help with this issue, please post a link to this thread in Tech Support. Thanks.
