Illegal Roster

I am trying to start the season and all of a sudden I get an illegal roster for Trooper College.

The thing is there is no Trooper college in my Universe. No where. I even ran a search and nothing.

Please Help

So basically your saying all the time I put into set-up this universe is down the drain because I can't move beyond the above problem.

There has to be a Trooper College somewhere...did you check the minors?

Did you post this in tech support? They may be able to look at your save and come up with a solution.

I am assuming you have a college feeder league, thus "trooper College". If this is the case you may try looking through that league to double check for that school. Then I would try one of two things. Either fill that league with fictional players, hoping to correct the problem. Or I would delete the history of the league, and hope that might help.

Otherwise, Tech support is your best option. Good Luck

I have College league but it is real colleges that I set up..big ten, big 12 so on.

I went through every league, every team and they all have enough players on them and there is no trooper college. Going to try tech support thanks for the help though

I went through Spring Training and about to start the season when I got an illegal team error...

for Trooper College illegal number of players(o)

the thing is I have no Trooper College in my Universe. I have gone through each team and league and found no Trooper College and no teams that did not have an illegal number of players. Every roster is fine and now I can't get past this point.

I spent along time in setting this league up and hope I don't have to start over.

Is this the first season? Did you rename all the teams manually? If so, maybe something screwy happened.

If you reach the end of your rope, I would try to fisrt go to the league set up for that league, and either fill all the teams with fictional players (this should not affect the already filled teams too much) and hope this corrects the problem. But it might just be a short term fix.

If it is the first year, and no games have been played I would also try deleting the league history, found under the league setup, scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page.

In previous problems that sounded like this one the problem turned out to be that the teams had been in leagues that were deleted. In setting up your Big 10, Big 12 leagues, did you start by creating generic feeder leagues, then edit them to be real-life conferences? Trooper College may've been in a league which no longer exists.

Could this be in any way related to the thread originator's problem?:

I know this issue has nothing to do with phantom scheduled games, but if it connects to phantom teams…

Curtis that is exactly what I did.

But how else can you set up a new feeder league without them putting the names of teams already in there then having to go in and change them?
