oooh... bad day for Tuscan

J. Tucker was injured in a collision at a base. (two weeks)
M. Nieves was injured while running the bases. (eight months)
V. Chalkley was injured on a defensive play. (four weeks)

All starters. Two out of my outfield. Tomorrow, my lineup will have three new guys

(edit: oh yeah, and my star CF was lost a couple weeks ago -- still 7 months to repair his torn rib cage muscle!!)

at least we won...

anyone else lose 3 (or more!) starters to dl-length injuries in a single game?

Yesterday, I had my starting pitcher injured and put on IR while facing (and walking) the first batter of the game.

His reliever was then injured and put on IR while facing (and walking) the second batter of the game.

I should have just gone back to bed after that.

No, never three in a day. My worst siege was eight in two weeks, five of them pitchers, and four of those starters.

No, never. Though, it being Friday the 13th, I just got the feeling of being jinxed just by reading this. Thanks a lot, friend.

Yikes. I would have been afraid to hit "1-Continue" at that point.

oh man. that may be just 2 pitchers, but the coincidence of losing both in the first two batters in the game? incredible

Update: just got Chalkley, the RF, back. Two days later, my LF (who has lead the league in RBIs all year) goes down for three weeks.

Good thing the game doesn't have the 10-day wait to recall players... jose rojas is coming back up.

I lost two pitchers in the same inning and a RF. And the SP was my ace of the staff too, one Mr. Bob Feller....

You didn't bump up the injury frequency by mistake, did you?

OK. You know, seriously, it's Friday the 13th. Perhaps you should not be playing at all today. This is now an official holiday in my league, thanks to this thread.

oh yeah, but I still managed 85 wins, thanks to a stellar young pitching staff that was more-or-less unscathed.

too bad the owner expected me to win it all.

Did you go the season without a team doctor or something?

I would be curious to see, if you felt the desire to share it, the proneness ratings of each player that was hurt significantly and/or frequently. Especially that Bright character. He was limited to "only" 4 injuries only because the last one was a doozy. This log is really quite entertaining. Tucker was hurt 3 times in collisions at a base. It's time for him to get a little more gun-shy about breaking up the DP!
