Ticket Prices

I was wondering what is normally a good level to keep the Ticket Prices? I usually keep them at $10 throughout the season and then raise them slightly if I make the playoffs? What is the best way for a greedy owner like myself to make a maximum profit without making the fans mad and not come because they are too high?

It depends on the situation.

If you've got a cavernous (Vet) type stadium you might be further ahead to keep the prices pretty low. If you've got a small stadium in a good market a higher price might be warranted.

I've had some small market teams in 50,000+ stadiums and I try to keep the price at $6 or $7. Fans love it and its not like anyone was going to use those extra seats anyhow.

I usually watch the attendance figures closely. If I'm selling out consistently, I'll bump the ticket prices up by one dollar increments till I'm not selling out anymore. Maxs my cash flow.

Don't forget to schedule promotions. You can do it month my month as the season goes on. I try to schedule my promos during weekday games against the poor teams in my league. Encourages attendance. You often don't need promos when you have a weekend series against another good team.

Actually for realisms sake shouldn't this too be adjusted in the new version?

I mean, think about just how high you can crank up the prices in OOTP4 and compare it to the cost of a ticket in, say, Fenway Park.

And $10 average ticket price? Maybe in the cheap seats at Comerica.

I'll cry if they change the ticket prices again. The ticket price change combined with the bug in the v.3-v.4 transfer cost me several hours in market adjustment as commish of an online league. It just plays havoc with ongoing leagues.
If they want to do make prices more realistic, they should just put in a straight inflation effect that cuts across the board, including salary demands, merchandising, etc., and adjusts the figures every league year, not just every time there's an OOTP update.
