don't retire
i just was informed by barry bonds that he will be retiring. is it possible with a generous contract extension to talk someone out of retiring?

I don't think that'll change his mind. I think I once tried that with one of my future hall of famers who was on the verge of retirement. I gave him a ludicrous 4 year extension in hopes of him sticking around.
Naturally he signed it, but ended up retiring after that season anyways. |
