I'll take "Things No One Could Care Less About" for 800, Alex.

If people could care less, doesn't that mean they really do care?

Indeed. The correct phrase is, "I could not care less." But TV blathering usage now rivals "spitting image" as the most illiterate phrase spoken by announcers.

For those who care about English, the phrase is "spit and image" which you are free to Google as to its derivation.

Actually his comment says things "No One" could care less about. So if no one could care less then that would mean that they don't care at all. So he question was correct.

Grammar aside, it looks like SI and ESPN worked out a trade or something.

Yeah it looks like ESPN should have asked for a PTBNL to sweeten the deal. They would have their choice of Dr. Z or.... Dr. Z.

That pretty much sums up everything that's wrong with ESPN in one concise statement.

The local sports radio station used to carry Out of Bounds with JDub and Craig C'note Shemon and just switched to the DP show about two weeks ago. I tell you, I'm NOT impressed, expecially for a morning show. Early afternoon, maybe. But mornings, no. DP is monotonic and almost puts me back to sleep.

While I still like Dan Patrick overall, his radio show has never been all that good since Dibble left. Who knew that a Neanderthal like Dibble could make for better radio?

If he could convince Keith Olbermann to join him full time, though, the show would be full of win.

Fixed. Olbermann has been unbearable for a few years now.

Out of curiosity, are you on the other side of the aisle from him politically?

I don't know where he stands politically, other than that he bashes Bush, and everyone does that.

I just find him incredibly annoying. He has that "Worst man of the week" or whatever segment on one of the network football talking head shows every week, and he's just.not.funny. But he sure thinks he is. He grins at his own little jokes, he uses voice inflection like a laughter prompt (laugh NOW), he's neither witty nor poignant, yet he thinks he's some kind of social commentary/comedian genius.

No thanks. He and Patrick were great on Sportscenter, but this is a completely different Olbermann.

2 problems with Olberman

1) Its sports, not politics. And his New York-centric view of sports is annoying and narrow.

2) He is even more arrogant and self centered than Bill O'Reilly. Dan kisses up to him and Olberman takes the bait every time; pontificates on almost everything like hr is some omniscient God figure. I used to like him but I soured on him during the last year or two on Patricks' radio show.

I only heard him on the radio show a few times. He never got on my nerves, but then again it may have something to do with sample size.

Maybe he does suck now, and I'm just nostalgic for the old SportsCenter days.
