I'm having some trouble getting stadiums to work with my game. I downloaded Henry's fictional stadiums. I followed Steve's tutorial and placed them in the graphics folder and then in a sub folder titled "stadiums". When I typed in the address it was accepted, but when I go to "test coordinates" it just shows the usual game background (minus field). I'm wondering if I am missing a step somewhere? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Also, if I go to the team setup page it just shows up as a black picture. Thanks again for any help.

Edited out some potentially misleading advice.

Do you have it set up like this?
In your case substitute Stadium for NEBA. In otherwords Stadium/Manchester.bmp (I use subfolder NEBA, not Stadium; Satch subfolders are just fine to use, just type the path from the graphics folder) One thing to be aware of the game will have problems with really long names.. so keep the stadium names as short as possible. (In fact the game will not work with Stadium/Manchester.bmp; so if I would have changed the image to Stad/Man.bmp) Here's what that setup yields: [ 05-20-2002, 05:02 PM: Message edited by: ScottVib ] |

Thanks for the help guys. It actually worked fine in the subfolder. I got an email reply (forget who it was from.....thanks again though), and that did the trick. I guess the names need to be shortened (I don't know why). For example, OaksField became Oaks and WrigleyField became Wrig. It works perfectly now, and that's all I changed. Has anyone heard of this before? Anyone know the reason?
Thanks to Satchel and Scott for your responses too.

Just saw that you had said that in your post Scott. That was the cause of the problem. I hadn't heard that one before.
