Importing / Exporting League History

One of the big issues with the rosters going on from year to year is the entering of league history.

The current csvs have the batting/pitching/fielding/award winners for the leagues, but not the playoff results.

I'm going to work on exporting the playoff results to csv in a specific format that can then be edited and re-imported back into the game.

I hope to have something like this ready by the end of the week.

sounds freakin awesome redsox. if you pull this off it will make roster making next year a breeze!!!!!!!!

I think I'll make it an adaptation of the following two files

league_playoff_fixtures.csv
league_playoffs.csv

and add a year column into each of them.

That should provide all the data that is needed to add it to the league history structure.

How's work going on this?

This will be a huge factor if I go forward with the plan I have for a full real universe with many leagues for OOTP 2008

I've been trying to think of a way round this problem I've found. I need to be able to keep existing history in the league as well as add the new bits, but to add the new bits I need information that isn't readily available in the current set of export csvs, for example the league structure on a year-by-year basis.

I think I'll try and write a front-end to allow the entry of history data.

I am looking forward to this as well. I am using the current version of your editor to import team history for our online league and hope to add league history when you have it ready.

I don't think a lot of people know about your utility. Could you post a link to it...I have the utility but do not remember where I got it from.

The whole issue of setting up a blank history for a league year is still causing me some issues with getting it to work correctly. I'm not sure it'll be able to work directly from csv files. Might need to create a front end for it.

Some others say they have taken OOTP to pieces from top to bottom so maybe they've got a work round to this.
