Forceful retirement/unretirement question

If I want to retire someone in the prime of their career to simulate, oh, a drug problem or war service (or with Vietnam, both!

)and then bring them back a few years later, will their ratings/talents have changed or will they return with the same numbers they had when I retired them?

They'll return with the same BABIP, but all the other ratings will be reset to 1

There is an unretire bug that will duplicate all you the player's previous seasons stats when you unretire. This will mess up the player's career stats as well ask skew your leader boards.

You may be able to edit the injury of the player to accomplish what you are after. Set the injury duration for the length of the suspension/tour of duty, but leave the diagnosis as "none"
