Moving players

How can i remove a player from the active roster (leaving him in the 0 man roster) so i can put another player on the active roster? Thing is simple, i'm the yankees, 2nd season, pettite is playing awfull, i want to bring phil hughes to the starting rotation, or at least make him play some innings...How do i do that?

You can drag and drop Pettite to AAA (or right click to do the same) but he could choose not to except the assignment if he has enough service time (which he should if the roster set is done right). If that is the case you can waive & dfa him and hope he clears waivers and then accepts an assignment to AAA after clearing waivers. He might not though. At that point you would need to either cut him or put him back on the active roster.

Thanks man! Pettite accepted the demotion...Maybe he just knows hes playing awfully right now!! Hope Phil Hughes gets the job done...
