Talking Gotta love this game

Ive been waiting for a great baseball sim like this for a long time. i got hooked on text based sims back in the mid 80's with Micro League baseball for the Commodore. i spent countless hours playing that game to the point that the label on the disk was turning black. If I could have designed this game, it wouldnt be too much different from how it turned out. Also, a big thank you to Rolen whose rosters have made this game so much more enjoyable. I hope to be part of the ever-growing ootp community for a long time.

Welcome! I'm another refugee from C64 Micro League. My team was always the '68 Tigers. There are a bunch of other former Micro League players here too, but I'm one of the only ones that played Pure-Stat Baseball as well.

Microleague was fun and had to be one of the founding fathers of this whole genre. I'll never forget how dissapointed i was when Earl Weaver baseball came out. Tony Larussa's was pretty good but unless you wanted to shell out the big bucks for Strat-o-matic, you werent getting a lot of bang for your buck. Being able to download the game and play immediately was another factor in my purchase. I know that there are online leagues. Are you able to play head to head online? I purchased the game about a week ago and find great new things about it each day but havent seen that option. Also, is there a way to print out your team stats like they appear in the newspaper? Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions.

Drinky Crow,
I as well played Pure-Stat Baseball.
As I remember it was the first baseball game I played that you could actually "sim" to get the results instead of playing out everygame. And if I remember right it was the first game I played that used split stats.
I was always the 84 Mets.
