Game unable to continue if computer hibernates
Hi!
I have my computer's power settings set to allow the computer to standby after a certain period of time. I often use this feature if I'm going to be using the computer again in a little while. When I come back to the computer, all of my programs are still there, but unlike most, OOTP doesn't recover from the suspension. It gives me an "unable to continue" error and closes. FYI, the game is not actually performing any tasks (I'm not simming). It's just sitting there. It wouldn't be a big deal, except that upon restart it will return to the last saved day. Even if I saved before walking away from the computer, however, I'm afraid of potential file corruption. Comments? cbbl Last edited by cbbl; 04-20-2007 at 09:58 AM. |

When your computer sleeps, it's essentially moving everything from RAM to your hard drive temporarily. If you had been simming before the computer went to sleep, OOTP no doubt had a lot in memory and maybe all of it didn't make the move or you are running short on disk space to accomodate everything.
