Why is Joe Smith closed?
Why was this Joe Smith problem closed?
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ight=joe+smith I had the exact same thing happen with about 25 Joe Smiths created and the invalid date error crashing the game. This was not an imported game, but a fictional game that began in 1800 and is now in 1813. Having Mr. Heinsohn the developer merely throw his hands up and basically say there's nothing to be done is not exactly a confidence-builder. When there's bad things happening in the world, the OOTP Preacher merely threw his hands skyward and said to his exasperated baseball congregation, "The Game Works in Mysterious Ways." And there was no more to be said. I have the game backed up to Jan. 1, 1813, six months before the crash. Is it possible to import the game into OOTP 2007 and not bring the bug along with the league?

When a league gets corrupted, there is nothing that can be done to save the league. It could have been a hard drive issue or many other things that could have caused it. We have not seen this happen in the beta builds.
Since you have a backup, make a backup of this league and then run it and see it also errors. If you have a valid backup that does not error on loading and it ALWAYS goes corrupt, then the developers will want to see your league files. |

Have you heard the good news?
No, not that good news.
This news is of the more earthly variety. My league that would not advance because of some calendar bug successfully ported over to 2007. I have now advanced two years in my league with 2007.
