Ballpark factors reset from year to year

I started in 1955 and now it is 1956 and I went to the stadiums to do some changes...First Stadium I went to was Memorial Stadium.. Most of the changes that I made the year before stuck ie: Capacity and Stadium dimensions...The problem is that the ball park factors changed. Now I have to go back to the excel file I am using and make the changes to the ballpark factors again. Is there not a way we can tell the game to not change certain factors

I'm not a historical player so clue me in - does the game have an internal DB that it is using for park factors and thus it is changing it every season for you based on the historical records for each field?
