Scoring Mistake on Game winning Triple?

Bottom of the 9th, 2 Outs, Score Tied 4-4. Bases Loaded.

Batting: RHB F. Gonzáles
0-0: Ball
1-0: TRIPLE (Line Drive, 78D)
A. Luna scores
Game Over ... Eugene defeats Tri-City, 5 to 4

I'm no expert, but I know if you hit a HR all the runs that come across count... right? Now in this circumstance IRL, I'm guessing as soon as the first run scored, the rest of the guys on the basepath would stop... but thats not how it played out in the game... Gonzales kept trucking around the bases, and it was scored a TRIPLE.

Bug? Quirk? My mistake?

If the final score was 5-4, the batters stats only got credited with a single and one RBI, and the only runner credited with a run scored was Luna, its the correct scoring.

From the Box Score:

Triples: F. Gonzáles (1, 9th Inning off K. Kimura, 3 on, 2 outs)

He was only credited with One RBI, but did get the TRIPLE.

The bug is in the game awarding the Triple, a HR is the only game ending hit that is awarded beyond the number of bases needed to force home a winning run.

So, should I post this in the bug forum? Does anyone know if its a known problem? I'm assuming an actual 'baseball' mistake would be something of a high priority, as opposed to say, a interface glitch...

You MUST post this in the bug forum. This is scoring engine glitch.

IIRC the batter should have been awarded only a single.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

GAME-ENDING HITS
(f) Subject to the provisions of 10.07 (g), when the batter ends a game with a safe hit which drives in as many runs as are necessary to put his team in the lead, he shall be credited with only as many bases on his hit as are advanced by the runner who scores the winning run, and then only if the batter runs out his hit for as many bases as are advanced by the runner who scores the winning run. NOTE: Apply this rule even when the batter is theoretically entitled to more bases because of being awarded an “automatic” extra-base hit under various provisions of Playing Rules 6.09 and 7.05. (g) When the batter ends a game with a home run hit out of the playing field, he and any runners on base are entitled to score.

Yep, should be a single (which you guys already know ). Thought I'd post the official rule.
