Question regarding editing in notepad
I am looking at Gambo's 1.5 DB. In his word file that comes with it he says to delete the previous years of statistics (I'm using 1984, so 1871-1983 I need to delete) and replace it with the original Lahman stats for those years (If I understand it correctly).
My question is this: Is there a way to quickly select all of those lines of data? I know in Excel you can click one row, click another row and then have all of the rows in between selected. Can you do something similar in Notepad so that you don't have to wiggle your mouse back and forth to go up through 100 years of player stats? It seems like it would take 10 minutes and lots of wrist action this way. |

one option might be to coppy the text into excel and then do the editing there, the other option involves holding down the shift key and repetedly pressing page down.

Find the last line you want to delete. Put the cursor at the beginning of the next line. Press CTRL-SHIFT-HOME.
