Disable Playoff's results in crash

Whenever i disable playoffs, it still has "1901 PLAYOFFS BEGIN" on the schedule. And if i try to sim through it, it crashes. Anyone else have that problem? if i enable playoffs, its sims through fine.

edit: i tried enabling the playoffs and it got through em, but crashes afterwards. It just sits at the day after the end of the players(october 15th) and doesnt come back. I have to ctrl+alt+det to get out of it.

i guess this league is gone

i even tried deleting the minors, but it still crashes at the end of the playoffs. Guess i'll try and make a new league

edit again: Well i tried making a new league and its gets to 1902, but crashed when the 'SISA Scouting MLB' Screen comes up. Guess i'll have to wait for a patch to be able to sim

Not sure what else to do. Here's my specs:

Athlon 1800+ XP
Radeon 9800 Pro w/Omega Drivers 3.8.291
1gb ram

Never had much trouble simming with 2006, but cant get very far in this version.

Well it appears to only be historical leagues that crash. I ran a fictional league for 100 years and it never crashed. Maybe its because im using Gambo's db.

EDIT: well i got it working! it appears to be the Gambo DB that caused the problem. I used the latest lahman db(5.4) and it seems to work fine.

ok, it seems to be either the Scouting or the new Recalc feature. I turned both them off and its going ok now. It seemed to crash right at the 3 year mark when it was going to recalculate the player ratings, but would crash.

Wierd, i moved the player photos from the saved_games\savedgame\news\html\images to the \photos directory and im now able to sim fine. As soon as i moved them back to the images directory, it would crash at the end of the playoffs.
