Game loads slowly

It took me many tries to successfully input my serial number, and this gave me many opportunities to time the loading of the game. It takes 25-50% longer to load 2007 than it did for 2006. This may not be important, since no one has (to my knowledge) claimed that 2007 is a quick-loading game, but the claims of fast-simming have been made so often that I just wanted to point out that the game doesn't do everything faster than 2006.

Refreshing screens in-game also seems to take longer. Unlike some other posters who've commented, I have plenty of time to read the trivia that now accompanies the updating of scouting (among other things).

Yes, I do have a slow machine, but it's the same machine I use for 2006.

yeah loading here is much slower than 2006. Although everything ingame is pretty fast for me.

I think, due to the facegen stuff the game is doing a lot more during startup. Hence the slowdown here.

It must be. My game loads really fast but I have a brand new PC. I am sure if you guys added more memory you'd see an improvement in system performance. It's the cheapest way to upgrade - especially if you can find a nice RAM deal.

Mine loads pretty fast ....if your referring to loading from the desktop. I double-clicked the OOTP 2006 icon on my desktop and it took 9 seconds to reach the main menu. I did the same for OOTP 2007...and it took 13 seconds...slower...but nothing I never really noticed before actually trying it.

This game likes memory. I have two machines where their main difference is the memory. The one with 1 GB of ram takes 13 seconds to load....the one that has 512 MB takes 27 seconds.

We appreciate this information, it's always good to understand more about how the game is performing. However, as we go through Tech Support, I'm going to go ahead and close this, because we don't believe there's actually a resolvable problem here.
