JG's IPA 2.0

I decided to retire my old IPA and start anew. In my old league I played around with the modifiers too much and added too many superstar players. In this new league I'll keep everything mostly as is. I'll be starting with 2000 modifiers and see how I like the statistical outputs for the first few seasons, then make minor adjustments as needed.

This league will be a return to its roots. It will have the original 64 teams. No Yankees or Mets to skew my rooting interests and biases. I also replaced the Red Bluff Red Sox with the Redwood City Rocketmen, and changed Beechwood's nickname from the Jackrabbits to the Blues. The playoffs will feature the division winners only. 3 rounds, best-of-7 series for each.

Thanks EC for helping me find the appropriate logos and graphics that I needed to start again. I really appreciate the help, as always. And of course, thanks again for letting me use your wonderful league structure.

We'll be starting way back in the year 1871. (Yes, I realize I have teams with names like Cybercats and Rocketmen. But, this is an alternate universe after all, so some rules can be bent.) And I want the IPA Pro Cup to have a Super Bowl feel, with big festivals and parties at each year's event, so I will be labeling the Pro Cup with Roman numerals.

If you might perhaps want Henry Clarence Freeman to perhaps start on Glasco, then please let me know. Otherwise, if you might choose to use certain items of mine for Denton City's Redbirds, he could then start there, perhaps. Henry Clarence would probably start his career in your IPA circa 1874, I think, ideally, and his relevant rivals could start circa that time as well. Let me check the dates of birth for the relevant rivals first, though, please. I don't think any would actually be at least old enough to start their IPA playing careers in 1872 at this point, but please let me confirm that for you here, before you go past the postseason for your IPA 2.0 here. Depends if you use at least some of my Denton City items, of course. My favorite team, of course, is the Cardinals, but Redbirds is a common alternate name for them, you know. IF you don't, then perhaps he can play on Glasco. I'm going to propose four rivals for him, and he may have three allies as well, to make four on the Freemans' side of things. Then we can go from there as the need and/or desire, et cetera, then arises for us both, of course.

Please stay tuned. Henry will likely be the oldest of those potential IPA players on the Freeman side of things, of the four people I have in mind for the generation preceding Gordon and his brothers' generation, just so you know, if I'm not too mistaken here, jg2977. Thank you. CD out.

Also, please keep me informed of what IPA teams of yours may actually be using my items, periodically, if you don't mind too much here, jg2977. That way, we can hopefully plan ahead better here whenever any new players might be due to appear in your IPA on an appropriate schedule and all, of course, you know. Whether they're members of the Freeman family or of allied families to the Freemans, members of the rival families to the Freemans and their allies, or members of families allied to the rival families, that is, or not from families allied to either side here in any way. Okay, this is what I've worked out so far for Henry's generation, players-wise, in terms of people from three families on the Freemans' side of things, and four for the rivals' families. At least as far as birthdates, anyway, that is, jg2977. First on the Freemans' side of things, then the rivals' side of things:

Rivals' Side:

The Morses will be Henry's brothers-in-law, once Henry marries one of their sisters. Henry will father Gordon, Arthyr, Duncan, and Elijah. K.J. Walton will be the father of the women Gordon and his three brothers marry in time. Jedediah will be the father of Gordon's chief rival Jeremiah, AKA Jerry. Barrett will be the father of Arthyr's chief rival Bradley. Tanner will be the father of Duncan's chief rival Otis. And Simon will be the father of Elijah's chief rival Hugh.

Jerry will father Calemund, Wulfric, Botulf, and Turstan. Bradley will father Tiamghan. Otis will father Sikander. And Hugh will father Ralph.

As far as Gordon, his only son will be Grover. Arthyr will father Shelby and Carl. Duncan will father Andrew and Kirk. And Elijah will father Orville and Rufus.
